One of the big plumbing shops installed
copper directly into the galvanized pipe.
This created corrosion on the fitting.
The inside of the pipe was worse and
hardly any water was able to pass through.
I installed brass fittings and a
new ball valve shut off valve.

caused by copper going into
galvanized pipe
I don’t think I have ever seen this before.
The lower pipe is actually a drain
line from the kitchen sink. Water
had to actually go uphill about 8
inches to drain. This customer
could never understand why
he had so many problems with
his sink not draining.
I gave his drain line proper fall.
I am not real happy about how
the water lines look, but I could
barely get my body squeezed into
this corner cabinet so most of this
work was done one-handed so I
didn’t have to remove the cabinet.
This customer had water pressure
of about 110 lbs. This high pressure
can damage plumbing fixtures.
I recommended she install a
pressure reducing valve to
control the pressure
Customer had a friend install this
electric tankless water heater and
he installed it with hoses without
the valves to descale the system.

“Charles saved us! We had some family in town over the weekend and on the last day of their stay both of the toilets in our house clogged. We tried a snake, liquid Draino and typical plunging and nothing worked, so I Googled plumbers in the area and his business was one of the ones that came up with solid reviews. I made a few calls and he was the quickest one to respond; got here within an hour of our call. He climbed the roof and used some heavy duty snake to go through the vent and cleared everything right up. He told us ahead of time the cost of service, but since this was my first time calling for a plumber I’m not sure if it was a good deal or not. “This company is fantastic. I’ve never met a plumber who takes such care and ownership of the work they do. The owner Charles helped us out himself with a major backup in our plumbing lines. Our only bathroom (other one under renovation at the moment, NOT a great time for your second bathroom to go out!) was totally inoperable which is not ideal for a household with several young children and Charles came out on a weekend and and worked relentlessly until he got us up and going again.
